Literacy is vital to empower members of society. Whether just emerging in one's skills, learning a new language, or writing to tell the stories of our lives, literacy is the spark that connects us across the globe. Knowledge Matters!
Well versed in a variety of SOR tools, we know that Knowledge Matters! I can show you how to leverage resources that stress the importance of background knowledge as a means to improve reading comprehension and vocabulary building.
Dyslexia
With recent NJ legislation and mandates to serve those with dyslexia, I am experienced with Fundations, Learning Ally, Wilson, Orton Gillingham, and other tools to help children in need.
Digital Literacy
As technology is the pen and paper of our time, it is imperative to help students and teachers acquire the best devices, apps, and tools to help them survive in a digital world.
MTSS
In order to provide "just right" texts for our students, as well as targeted interventions, it is imperative that we assess and monitor their progress. Tools such as DIBELS, iReady, and more are wonderful ways to begin conversations and set up focused lessons to fully engage with Multiple Tiered Systems of Support.
